How do I register?
Registration is very easy. Simply choose the GET CERTIFIED button. This will take you to our Food Handler Training and Certificate registration page where you will need to fill out the required information. Once you are registered you will be asked to pay your course fees. You will have immediate access to the Food Handler Training and Certificate course.
Where is my Food Handler Certificate from FoodSafe4U accepted?
Your Food Handler Certificate is accepted in all Canadian provinces and territories (Alberta, British Columbia, Manitoba, New Brunswick, Newfoundland, Nova Scotia, Nunavut, Ontario, PEI, Québec, Saskatchewan, Nothwest Territories). Our course is fully accredited by the respective Provincial Governments.
What course languages do you offer?
Currently, the course is available only in English.
What skills do I need to take the Food Handler Training and Certificate Course?

Computer Skills

The Food Handler Training and Certificate Course is designed to be very user-friendly; however, given that it is 100% online, having a basic level of computer literacy is helpful.

Language Skills

FoodSafe4U is available in English. We have made every effort to use simplified language; however, as food safety terminology is involved, a functioning level of English is required.

Independent Study Skills

You set the pace for this 100% online course. That means that our course can easily fit into your busy schedule. You are in the driver’s seat, so you need to have the discipline and follow through to finish the course before it expires.

What are the requirements for the Food Handler Training and Certificate final exam?
The final exam is online and can be taken any day that is convenient for you. You will require a computer with a webcam, microphone, and internet connection. To get certified you need to achieve a score of at least 70% on the final exam.
How long does it take to get my Food Handler Certificate?
In most cases your certification is sent immediately by email, however, proctoring issues could delay this process if a review is necessary. Proctoring can delay your certification if the photo of your Government-issued ID is blurry, or if there is need for the proctoring team to look into any flagged behaviours that may be against the exam rules
Are my marks private?

Yes, your pretest, quiz, and exam marks are kept confidential.

Will there be other students in my class?

Because this course is fully independent there is no formal class and for your privacy, we do not allow messaging between students on our platform. If you happen to know someone else in the course you are welcome to study together up until the final exam, which must be done independently.

Do you accommodate people with special needs?
The general design of the Course is inclusive from a universal design for learning perspective. Our online Food Handler Training and Certificate course is delivered via interactive software, using audio narration and additional support material. This allows for us to accommodate most students with different learning styles, with learning disabilities, or with language/literacy needs. Beyond the built-in features, with appropriate documentation, we will provide any reasonable accommodation to ensure that anybody with the motivation and skills can become a certified food handler.
Will I have an instructor for the course?

Throughout the course you will be supported by our team of training professionals, who are always available to answer questions by email, or on a video conference by appointment.
